The brief

AkrualX is a vertical SaaS platform for accounting practices, serving three surfaces from one codebase: an internal firm console, a corporate client portal, and a personal client portal. The financial core tracks monthly statements — revenue, cost of sales, labour, operating expenses, net income — and turns them into ratio-based health analysis across growth, capital structure, liquidity, and solvency, with clear healthy / watch / needs-attention statuses. A Canadian tax-compliance module tracks CRA program accounts (GST/HST, payroll, dividends), T4/T5/T4A/T5018 slips, provincial sales tax, and corporate filings on a firm-wide scored compliance matrix, down to CRA payment-plan scheduling. On top sits a deterministic Business Navigation engine — a planning lab that diagnoses a client business's level and primary constraint and lays out routes, checkpoints, and progress toward targets — plus a multi-model AI layer: GPT-4o vision extracts financial statements from uploaded documents, Claude powers financial analysis and advisory chat in the console and the corporate portal, and Gemini generates portfolio-level insights. Personal clients get tax filings, a net-worth tracker, appointment booking, and family-group accounts, and the whole product runs trilingual (English, Spanish, French) with light and dark themes, date-range reporting, and CSV + PDF report exports.
